Tyler and Breanna first crossed paths at a friend’s party in the summer of 2023. They hung out a few times that summer, going hauling and making memories, but life had its own timing. After a short break in communication, fate (and a little bit of sneaky planning) brought them back together that fall.

When Breanna volunteered to be the designated driver for her sister and brother-in-law’s friend’s wedding, she suggested they take Tyler along since he “lived just up the road” and was invited to the Wedding. The night turned out to be a fun one, full of laughter and dancing, and it sparked the start of something more. From then on, Tyler started stopping by Breanna’s sister’s house whenever she was there, and before long, he worked up the courage to ask her out.

Their first date was set for December 15th, 2023, pending one small condition: Breanna had to pass her final nursing exam. Tyler ended up running late that night because one of his cows decided to have a calf, but it became a theme. Somehow, every date that winter seemed to line up perfectly with another new calf, making Breanna the official “good luck charm” of the farm.

On January 27th, 2024, Tyler and Breanna made it official. The months that followed were filled with adventures, laughter, and plenty of learning, from Breanna getting hands-on lessons about farming and livestock, to Tyler learning a thing or two about nursing “pokes and prods.”

By the summer of 2025, the two took a vacation together, and Breanna thought a proposal might be on the horizon. But in true Tyler fashion, he had other plans, nothing basic or predictable. On September 22nd, 2025, surrounded by the cows that had been part of their story from the start, Tyler got down on one knee in the pasture and asked Breanna to be his forever.
